Ir. Tom Vandekerckhove (Doctoral Researcher)
This person is working in this group since 2020.
Tom received his BSc and MSc in Engineering physics from Ghent University (Belgium) in 2017 and 2019 respectively. He then spent one year at Cornell University as a master student working on WSe2 monolayer-based single photon emission under the supervision of professor Gregory D. Fuchs. Tom started his PhD in 2020 at the photonics research group and OPERA-photonique.
He works under the supervision of Bart Kuyken and Stephane Clemmen on
the development of integrated nonlinear waveguides with a second order nonlinearity through micro-transfer printing for quantum photonics applications.
