Dr. ir. Stijn Cuyvers (Doctoral Researcher)
This person worked in the group from 2019 till 2023.
Stijn Cuyvers received the BSc and MSc degree in electrical engineering from Ghent University, Belgium in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Supported by a B.A.E.F. fellowship, he obtained an additional MSc degree from Columbia University, New York, in May 2019. From September 2019 until April 2023, he worked as a Ph.D. researcher at the Photonics Research Group of Ghent University - imec. His research interests include heterogeneously integrated devices on silicon nitride photonic integrated circuits, such as mode-locked lasers and electrically pumped comb sources on-chip amongst others. During the fall of 2022, he was a research intern at Microsoft, Cambridge, UK, working on optical technology for the cloud.Specific Research Topics
