Mr. Amir Shahin (Doctoral Researcher)
This person is working in this group since 2023.
Amir started his PhD at Ugent-imec in 2023 working on the topic of high sensitivity optical receivers for high speed optical interconnects. His research mainly focuses on Ge/Si photodetectors (PDs) and avalanche photodetectors (APDs). Before starting his PhD, amir got his Masters degree in Communication from Ain Shams University. He also worked as a testing team lead at Si-ware Systems for 10 years, where he led a team of engineers to build testing set-ups and algorithms for MEMS based NIR Spectrometers.Specific Research Topics
