I am an application-oriented Photonics Engineer aspiring to deliver top-notch research that will bring innovative products closer to their market launch.
Since 2015, I have been working with Prof. Geert Morthier in the Photonics Research Group of Gent University, towards a PhD. on Self-Pulsating and Ultra-High-Speed Laser Diodes. Prior to that, I earned, under the supervision of Prof. Anatol Khilo, an MSc. in Microsystems Engineering from Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I was also accepted as a visiting scholar at Prof. Yoshiaki Nakano's group in the University of Tokyo. Finally, I finished at the top of my class my BSc. in Electrical Engineering in Ajman University in the United Arab Emirates, where I come from.
