Marco AntonioLopez Sanchez
Marco Antonio Lopez Sanchez is a physicist and engineer specializing in optics, photonics, and microwave technologies. He holds dual bachelor degrees in Physics and Electronic Engineering by the University of the Basque country, and earned an Erasmus Mundus Master in Microwave Electronics and Photonics (EMIMEP). His experience spans RF accelerator design, nonlinear optics, and semiconductor physics.

Currently, Marco is pursuing a PhD at IMEC and Ghent University Photonics Research Group. His research focuses on integrated multi-wavelength laser sources for silicon photonic chips, aiming to advance frequency comb technology for high-speed data communication. His work combines physical modeling of dynamical systems, III-V/Si integration, and advanced optical characterization to push the limits of scalable photonic systems.
