Lucas Van Severen was born in Wilrijk, Belgium in 2000. He received his Master in Electrical Engineering at Ghent University in 2023. In September 2023, he joined both the IDLab Design group and Photonics Research Group of Ghent University, where he is working as a PhD student on scalable low-footprint and high-speed coherent transceivers leveraging emergent heterogeneous photonic platforms.Specific Research Topics
