Cenk Ibrahim Ozdemir received his Master's degree in Microengineering program with Applied Optics orientation from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in December 2015, with the thesis titled "Wafer-scale Fabrication of Nanoplasmonic Structures for Biosensing Applications". He received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2014, with specializations in Electronics and Microwaves.

His current studies focus on III-V active photonic devices grown on Si for optical interconnect applications at imec.
