GunayYurtsever
Gunay obtained his Bs degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey in 2001. Since then he has been working in the field of biomedical photonics. Between 2001-2003 he worked on near infrared spectroscopy and its applications in functional brain imaging as he was a graduate research assistant at Drexel University School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, PA, USA. There he designed and implemented miniaturized near infrared spectroscopy systems. Later, he worked on novel non-linear microscopy methods using ultrafast pulse shaping techniques and its applications at University of Pennsylvania and Duke University, USA. He holds two Ms degrees in biomedical engineering from Drexel University and University of Pennsylvania. In 2006, he received the John Chambers Fellowship award for outstanding photonics research at Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics, Duke University. Since 2007 he has been working on miniaturization of optical coherence tomography as a doctoral student at Gent University Photonics Research Group.
