Abstract
Future wireless communication links will require everdecreasing cell sizes to provide massive data capacity den-sities. Implementing a fully operational base station ineach cell is not viable and thus centralized solutions mak-ing use of radio-over-fiber (RoF) have been proposed.Transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) are an essential compo-nent in such RoF links. In this article, resonant TIAsmaking use of series inductive peaking are proposed forRoF communication links. Such a band-pass approachbenefits from superior noise behavior and a relaxation ofthe transimpedance limit compared to the traditionalbroadband designs typically used in RoF. Related Projects
